Definitions:
Goals: Outcomes are the changes in data-driven academic outcome, health, behavior, actions.
Activities: Describe the actions to support the goal.
Measures: Describe how the effectiveness of activies will be evaluated based on data.
Academic Reading/Math GOAL/OUTCOME 1:
Ensuring that relationships foster the necessary conditions for student centered learning.
Activities
1. Increase non-fiction sources in weekly lessons of science, social studies, and interventions.
2. Project Based Learning groups allow for small group instruction based on needs of students.
3. Small group instruction in the classroom focuses on standards using district materials.
4. Reading and Math PLC groups every 2 weeks to look at instructional routines and assessments.
5. Questions and Discussions are done via whole group and small group instruction with the focus on small groups and the individual student needs.
6. Differentiated instruction in reading and math with inclusion of all students in the class including those with special needs, IEP Plans, 504 Plans, and students served in ELL classes.
7. Intervention groups will include a focus on fluency as well as comprehension in math and reading.
8. Use various manipulatives in math WIN time to strengthen math fluency and comprehension.
9. Instruction in Reading will use Science of Reading training and math will use training from DMTI while using district curriculum materials.
Measures:
Reading I-Ready results- Beginning of the year- K: 20% at Benchmark 1st: 7% at Benchmark 2nd: 18% at Benchmark 3rd: 17% at Benchmark 4th: 19% at Benchmark 5th: 8% at Benchmark 6th grade: 15% at Benchmark Math I-Ready results- Beginning of the year- K: 9% at Benchmark 1st: 1% at Benchmark 2nd: 4% at Benchmark 3rd: 4% at Benchmark 4th: 10% at Benchmark 5th: 7% at Benchmark 6th grade: 14% at Benchmark
Professional Learning:
Weekly PLC, New Teachers and Interventionist Science of Reading Training, DMTI training with teachers and paraprofessionals, I-Ready Training before school and throughout the year, SAAVAS curriculum material training.
SEL Goal/Outcome 2:
Leadership across the educational community cultivate a shared vision, mission, and culture that emphasize the belief that all students are capable of success, and especially for historically and currently marginalized youth, students, and families including civil
Activities:
1. All teachers teaching Second Step curriculum in the class.
2. SEL Facilitator works with students and staff in a Tiered model of support.
3. Assembly focus weekly on student emotion success with the school with weekly message.
4. Good Citizen and Panther awards given to student showing the three pillars of behavior and citizenship within the school.
5. Positive postcards sent throughout the year to all students.
Measures and Data:
Assembly notes, weekly message pages, Good Citizen awards promoted on webpage, positive postcards sent out.
Professional Learning:
PBIS meetings every 6 weeks, Administration meetings with SEL Facilitator, Second Step Curriculum review each year.
Parent Engagement GOAL/Outcome 3:
Communication systems are effective, transparent, and multifaceted to ensure ongoing two-way communication.
Activities:
1. Parent teacher conferences.
2. Open house.
3. Kindergarten Conversations.
4. Bright Arrow communication to update information in the system.
5. Class Dojo.
Measures:
Agendas, notes home, sign in sheets, conference attendance.
Professional Learning:
Professional development opportunities about the new PowerSchool system and how to navigate.
