Club Purpose:
The Henley High School Student Council consists of a body of students elected by their peers to address schools issues and organize and lead student activities and events. Our student council seeks to improve our school culture and engage our student body, making HHS more enjoyable for our student body.
Membership Expectations:
Students elected into office are expected to:
- Conduct themselves in a way that evokes respect from teachers and staff during and outside of school
- Maintain a record of good citizenship
- Commit to enrolling in leadership class for both semesters of the school year they are elected
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA
- Attend and participate in after school and evening activites
Costs Associated With Membership:
Time (no cost)
Time Commitment Required of Student:
Students will be asked to attend after school activities (student council sponsored such as homecoming) and athletic contests throughout the school year in addition to enrolling in the student government class. Students who are committed to Student Council are typically involved in many organizations throughout the school. They are expected to be involved as much as their schedules will allow. Involvement during school hours can help them meet the time requirements asked of them.
