Title I Program

• Title I-A is United States Government’s largest education assistance program for schools.
• Funds are used to provide programs to help children who are struggling in reading and math.
• Extra help (in addition to what they learn during math and reading time in the classroom)
• Funding provided under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA)

OUR DATA/HOW ARE WE DOING?

• CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM:
  • 2022-2023 School Year: 33% of our students were chronically absent below 90%
  • 2023-2024 School Year: 24% of our students were chronically absent below 90%
• SBAC RESULTS 2023-2024:
  • Math: 50% Passing
  • English Language Arts (ELA): 57% Passing
  • Science: 33% Passing

DESIGN OF OUR PROGRAM

• Ferguson Elementary is a schoolwide Title 1 Program

• All students receive core instruction is ELA and Math daily
• All students have an additional 20-30 minutes of ELA and Math enrichment or intervention
• FES Interventionist (math and reading) pulls students throughout the day providing additional instruction to groups of students
• All students receive project based learning approximately 30 min per week. 

OUR SCHOOL'S CURRICULUM

• K-5 i-Ready Math
• 6th Grade Mid-School Math

• K-5 uses My View for Reading
• 6th Grade uses Study Sync

ASSESSMENTS AND MONITORING

• Assessments our schools use are i-Ready for both reading and math. Statewide assessments are given to 3-6 graders measuring reading, math, and science (5th grade only).
• All parents will be notified of their child's assessment results twice a year, in the fall and spring. Assessment results are available at all times upon request. 
• Kids will be progress monitored through i-Ready.
