A physical examination is necessary for an athlete to be eligible to participate in an extracurricular sport at Brixner Jr. High. The physical must be completed prior to this year’s first sports practice (Sept. 9 for volleyball).
Sport Physicals are required for all Incoming 7th graders and those 8th graders who plan on participating this year but did not last year and do not have a physical on file. All current 8th graders, who have a Sports Physical on file from last year, DO NOT need a physical to participate during the 2024-25 school year.
Sports physicals can be administered by any Personal Care Physician. It is required you use Brixner’s Sport Physical forms. A hard copy form is available in the front office at Brixner. You may also print a form accessing the Brixner web page. Click on Athletics, then click on the Forms link under Athletic Information. Next find Physical Form. These forms must be returned to the office at Brixner prior to participation.

Brixner will offer girls volleyball (fall), boys and girls basketball (winter) and boys/girls track and field (spring). All sport participation is free of charge.
