Mazama, Lost River, Henley, Brixner, Chiloquin teams compete
Feb. 14, 2023 / Fifty-six teams from 10 schools competed for state qualifying status as well as tournament trophies Feb. 10 and Feb. 11 during the fifth annual Klamath Icebreaker VEX Robotics Competition at Mazama High School.
Beginning robotics teams competed in a new rookie division Friday night with middle school and high school divisions taking the field on Saturday. Schools competing were Mazama, Chiloquin, Lost River, Henley High, Bend High, Cascade Academy, Hood River High, Henley Middle, Lost River Junior High, and Brixner Junior High. Results are posted below.
“We were excited to have teams from elsewhere – Bend, Eugene, and Hood River – who don’t often travel to Klamath Falls,” said Laura Nickerson, tournament organizer. “The competition is tough.”
The state VEX Robotics Tournament will be hosted at Mazama High School next month.
