Mathematics
7th Grade Math
The objective of this course is to build upon, process, and apply fundamental skills of mathematics as aligned to the Oregon State Mathematics Standards. There are 3 standards for each grade level. Content covered will include, but not be limited to: Intro Algebra, Rational Numbers and Equations Proportionality, and Surface Area & Volume, for 7th graders. Basic arithmetic skills will be reviewed with most of the emphasis on concepts to further Mathematical understandings. A review of operations using fractions, percents and decimals will be covered as well.
8th Grade Math

Basic arithmetic skills will be reviewed with most of the emphasis on concepts to further Mathematical understandings. A review of operations using fractions, percents and decimals will be covered as well.
Algebra I
Grade: 9th  11th Credit: 1.0 Prerequisite: PreAlgebra in junior high, teacher recommendation and high scores on math placement test.
Algebra is designed to introduce the student to basic algebraic concepts, abstract quantities, and equation solving. Emphasis is placed on proper organization in problem solving and use of basic mathematical language. Algebra is an absolute necessity for the collegebound student. This course will be proficiency based.
Geometry
Grade: 9th 12th Credit: 1.0 Prerequisite: Algebra I
This course is intended for students who have successfully completed Algebra I. It is required before going on to advanced mathematics classes. Geometry introduces the logic of a deductive system combined with applications in two and three dimensional models. A thorough integration of algebra is used throughout. This course will be proficiency based
Algebra II
Grade: 10th 12th Credit: 1.0 Prerequisite: Algebra I & Geometry
Algebra II is a second year course that reviews and continues the study of those topics to which the student was introduced in Algebra I. In addition to those topics studied during Algebra I, the student will become acquainted with the concept of a function, will be introduced to the axiomatic basis for algebra and the nature of algebraic proof, and will gain some familiarity with the properties of the complex number system. Also, the student will be introduced to Trigonometry but primarily from a right triangle point of view.
Math 111
Grade 11th 12th Credit 0.5 high school & 4 college Prerequisite: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and teacher recommendation
The algebraic operations dealing with linear, quadratic, and polynomial equations and functions. Introduces graphs of functions (linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic) and develops the concepts of exponential and logarithmic functions.
