Fred Hess

Fred Hess was a graduate of Henley High School in 1947.  Fred Lettered at Henley HS in Football, Basketball, and Track.  He was a member of the 1946 State B Football Championship Team as Team Captain.   He led Henley to a Oregon State B Track and Field Championship in 1947 by placing first in the High Jump, and second in both the Pole Vault and Shot Put. 

He graduate from Oregon State University with a Bachelors and Masters in Science and Mathematics and became a Math Teacher at Henley High School for ten years.  He was involved in coaching Football, Basketball, and Track.  Fred retired from Oregon Institute of Technology after teaching mathematics there for 23 years.
