Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS)

What is Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS)?

PBIS is a behavior and discipline system that rewards expected/excellent behaviors.  The main goal of PBIS is to provide for students clear, concise, and consistant expectations throughout the school.

Why are the words "Safe, Responsible and Respectful" everywhere at LRHS?

These are LRHS' three umbrella rules.  These three words guide the rest of the expectations throughout the school.  If you look at the behavior matrix below, you will notice expecations for each area of the school, broken down by Safe, Responsible, and Respectful.  For instance, students should be able to recognize what it looks like to be safe in the hallway, or respectful in the cafeteria.

What behaviors does LRHS expect?

PBIS Behavior Matrix : Explains expectations for specific areas around the school.
LRHS Universal Expectations : Explains the schoolwide expectations.
